My kitten fell, is inactive, and dragging a paw. Should I see a vet?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 8 days old | 0.3 lbs

Good day! My one-month old domestic kitten fell down from the second floor of our house to the ground, now she's been so inactive these past few hours. She also can't move her right paw but she can walk on her own but she's dragging that paw. I don't know what we're supposed to do. Should we massage it or put a cold compress?

Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. So sorry to hear this happened to Givenchy. You really need to get her to a vet for an examination. She could have fractured/broken the leg, dislocated it or even avulsed the brachial plexus (bundle of nerves in the armpit). These are not things you are going to fix at home. I'm sure she is in a lot of pain and getting some pain medication from the vet would be a nice thing to do for her too. Please get her to the vet. It doesn't sound like a simple sprain. You can cold compress it if she will allow you to but that won't take the place of a vet exam. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
