What's the best way to clean my dog's eyes and remove tear stains?

What is a good eyewash, wipe, cleaner, etc to keep eyes clean & healthy? She also has tear stain problems

This is a good general eye wash: ( http://www.allivet.com/p-8131-vetericyn-plus-eye-wash-3-oz.aspx ) For tear staining I recommend Angel Eyes products. They seem to work the best. ( https://angelseyesonline.com/products/ ) Hope this helps. Great question!

    Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Mini is so adorable! You can us a soft cloth and water to wipe the crust away. There is a product called Angel Eyes that can be used for the tear staining. This product can be purchased at any Petco pet supply store or online. There are lots of other products out there, but this is one that I have used and like. The key is keeping the eyes clear of debris and regular grooming to maintain the hair so it does not collect more debris. Thank you again for your question and I hope this information was helpful.

Hello and thank you for reaching out to Boop by Petco. A safe product that works well to clean the tear staining around a dog's eyes is called Angel's Eyes wipes. You should be able to purchase these online. Just a reminder to never put any harsh chemicals such as hydrogen peroxide near your dog's eyes, as this can be very damaging and painful. What a cutie! If you've not yet had a vet examine her eyes, please do so. She may have an eye condition that is contributing to the issue. Hi and thank you for using Boop by Petco. Many light colored dogs will have tear staining under their eyes. Be sure that Sharon isn't rubbing at his eyes, has red eyes or other indications of eye infections. Keeping his face wiped down with a warm wash cloth will help prevent buildup of tears. How do I clean my puppy's tear stains? She's white so her stains are prominent. & when her hair grows out it tends to get matted. I'm trying to keep them clean but they're so stubborn. I've tried warm water. We've even bought these wipes specialized
I know that this can be frustrating. There are a few things you can try. There is a product called Angels' Eyes that comes in an oral form. It does have to be given on a consistent basis in order to see a difference. You can also use a contact solution with boric acid to reduce the staining. Do not use boric acid in any other form around the eyes as it can cause irritation or damage to the eyes. The other thing would be to have a groomer shave the hair from that area. This will keep her face cleaner and with less hair, there will be less staining.

Hello, my Lilly has tear stains, I tried a couple of things before and I asked vet too. She got sick about a year ago and received antibiotics for a day, her stains disappeared after that; however I went on vacation for 3 weeks and my husband didn't
You can try distilled water or see about adding angel eyes to her diet as this helps. If these do not fix it, you can see your vet needs to prescribe another round of antibiotics to help. Once the hair is stained, the new hair generally has to grow out before it all disappears though

Is there an EFFECTIVE supplement to stop my dog 's chronic tear stains ?
Angel Eyes is the only product that I know of that can help with tear staining. It is not a magic miracle and doesn't work for every dog but I have had good success with some clients using it. All you can do it try it to see if it works for Jack. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

My white maltipoo has brown streaks under his eyes and I can't get rid of them. I'm giving him a supplement that's supposed to from the inside. I'm nervous about using the drops that cannot touch his eyes and even the groomer can't get rid of them. W
Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. Mutton is a breed that we typically see the problem of tear staining. It is not harmful but cosmetically, it can be unsightly. There are supplements that have been known to reduce the brown stains. I would recommend a supplement such as Angel Eyes or Ocubright, which can reduce the brown staining that you are seeing after several months of being on the supplement. Either one of these can be found online or at your local pet store. I hope that this helps! Hi my pup is having issues with tear stains. Any advice?
Here is a link with some more information on tear staining and watery eyes. https://www.vin.com/veterinarypartner/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4951527 I do not recommend using hydrogen peroxide near the eyes, as it could cause irritation if it gets in the eyes. Since Rex is a French bulldog, he will need his facial folds and tail fold wiped clean a couple of times a day long term to help prevent irritation. Make sure any wipes you use are not used directly on the eyes themselves, as this can lead to irritation. Use them just on the skin under the eyes. Contact your veterinarian, as they may recommend Optixcare wipes as a safe and gentle option for cleaning under the eyes.

Hello. The most common cause of tear staining in dogs is blocked tear ducts. Often a course of a tetracycline medication can help resolve this. You will need to obtain this from your veterinarian. Two ways to try & remove the stains naturally, if the ducts are not blocked, are to use the probiotic, Fortiflora & a product told to me by a client. It is a tear stain remover made by NaturVet. You can see their products at https//www.naturvet.com. It can take a minimum of 2-3 weeks for the staining to resolve, but it is worth trying the probiotics & the topical NaturVet. If this does not work, Sky should see her veterinarian in case the tear ducts are blocked. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.
