Your poor pup! If she isn't spayed, I would be very concerned that she has a pyometra. This is an infection of the uterus that is fatal without treatment, and it would cause a white discharge as well as vomiting. It sounds like your vet may have been suspicious she had a pyometra and tried treating it medically with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. Unfortunately the medical route often isn't successful, and surgery is needed to treat it. This means spaying her. I would take her back into the vet immediately, as this is a medical emergency. Best of luck.

I am having a little trouble interpreting what you are saying, but I think you mean that Lazi was diagnosed with an infection in her uterus, also called a pyometra. This is a life-threatening infection that left un-treated will result in death. Some minor infections where the pets are not sick and their uterus is draining out can be treated aggressively with multiple antibiotics and supportive veterinary care, but many dogs will have this infection every single time they go back into heat. Most dogs with pyometra will need surgery to remove the uterus as this will completely remove all of the infection and prevent issues in the future. Here is some more information on pyometra: http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=603 If I am incorrect in your concerns, please post another question!

Take Beau back to the vet today - even if it's after hours. She may have an infection in her uterus called a PYOMETRA. This will progress and can be life threatening. Just giving oral antibiotics is rarely enough to resolve the infection. She may need an emergency hysterectomy surgery. The longer you wait, the more sick she will become. The only way to prevent this is performing a spay surgery when she is young and healthy - as an elective procedure.
