My pug puppy on medication won't eat or drink. Is this normal?

Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 16 days old | 2.3 lbs

My pug puppy is taking medication and he is not eating well , is this normal ? Also he doesn't want to drink water at all, should I make him ?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! How likely this is to happen depends on the exact medication you are giving. However, this is a possible side effect to medications like antibiotics for instance. I recommend that you contact the veterinarian who prescribed this medication to see how likely this is to see if it should be discontinued or at least the dose decreased or perhaps there is another issue going on. Also, if he is not drinking water, he may be getting dehydrated in which case a veterinary evaluation is indicated. Good luck and have a good night!
