Why is my Yorkie's eye shut after swimming in a chlorinated pool?

I cut my yorkie hair Friday and took him out of town with me I went swimming so I took him with me some of the water got in his eye it had chlorine in the pool but the next day I woke up and his eye wat shut but he could open it so I put water on a rag and rubbed it then he opened it all the way and started playing with his toy. I came home from work today and his eye was shut again so I put water on his eye and rubbed it again and he opened it but not all the way and he keep shutting them
