Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Acral lick granulomas are VERY hard to clear even with veterinary care. They are usually allergy or behavioral related. At home I’d recommend putting an E-collar on so he can’t lick the area. He needs to wear it 100% of the time for several months. Vets have had success with several drug combinations ranging from prozac to long term antibiotics to apoquel to lazor therapy to even intra-lesiononal steroid injections. Not one thing works for every dog but keeping them off the area is universal. Personally I don’t think at home treatment will work but you jr we know. Good luck!
