Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Intestinal parasites are transmitted fecal-oral, from hunting or fleas. Markus can't catch worms by being near the stray cat. There are many reasons for the stray cat to be vomiting: parasites, viral or bacterial infection, cancer, liver or kidney failure, over active thyroid, food allergy/intolerance, obstruction, pancreatitis, feline leukemia, FIV or FIP. If he is this sick maybe consider calling animal control to come get him. I wish you the best!

Hi and thanks for posting! I am sorry to hear about the vomiting. Vomiting within a few mins after eating can be an indication of a parasitic infection, certainly, but can also signal other problems such as a gastrointestinal obstruction, gastric ulcer, food sensitivities, or certain esophageal disorders. If your cat has been properly dewormed, intestinal worms may be less likely. You may want to revisit with your veterinarian for additional tests such as an x-ray to help rule out gastrointestinal orders or an obstruction as a cause. I hope this helps and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!

If they are all throwing up, there is either a problem with the food, they've gotten into the same thing (like garbage), or they all have a contagious stomach infection or parasite infection. I honestly would get rid of that bag of food and deworm everyone--indoor cats can still have parasitic infections. If the vomiting continues, you'll have to bring one or all in to the vet to get some idea what is going on.

There are many causes for vomiting in a cat, including hairballs, food allergy, eating too fast, GI blockage, intestinal parasites, IBD, intestinal lymphoma, hyperthyroidism, systemic disease (liver, kidney, pancreas, diabetes), among others. I would recommend having your cat evaluated by a vet.
