Hello, sorry to hear about Vanilla. If she is done this once or twice, you should remove any food for the rest of the day and start her on a bland diet later on. This can be composed of plain white rice, skinless and boneless chicken, and low fat cottage cheese. If this does not improve her vomiting, or if she vomits more than 4 times in one day then Vanilla should be seen by a veterinarian today. This could be caused by a large number of things but in older dogs, inflammation of the intestines, a dietary indiscretion, liver disease, kidney disease, pancreatitis, or even some form of infection could cause vomiting in a dog. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Vomiting can be observed with conditions such as gastroenteritis, pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, gastrointestinal foreign body ingestion and obstruction, among other possibilities. For this reason, I highly recommend that you have Vanilla evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as I am afraid she can become dehydrated. They would be able to check for these possibilities and also check her hydration status and give her medications to make her feel better. Good luck!
