I have 5 precious indoor-only kitties and while I was away my well-meaning son cleaned the entire place with Pine-Sol. I think there's still some residue on the floor because it's a bit sticky. I can also smell it in the air. My cats have already been exposed to it for a while, but they all seem fine so far. Do you think a one-time exposure like that will harm them? They're all under 5 years old.

Pinesol can definitely be irritating to the respiratory tract, but if they aren’t coughing then it probably hasn’t caused much problem. As far as other concerns if they had licked it before it was dry then it can cause mouth ulcers and gastrointestinal problems, and possibly organ problems. If you have any concerns they they are not eating well or vomiting then they should be seen immediately, otherwise if they didn’t consume any then the likelihood of a problem is slim. Best of luck and thank you for using Pet Coach.
