My dog is eating half his food but seems fine. Should I be concerned?

My dog is only eating about half his food at both meals on and off for the past few weeks. Sometimes if I leave it out he will finish it, but not always. His bowel movements seem fine and his energy is fine. I can't see any sign from him of feeling unwell. I'm wondering if there is something we should be concerned about? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 9 lbs

Hello, sorry to hear about Louie. As long as he is otherwise acting ok, this could be from the weather being too warm. Monitor him for any vomiting, diarrhea, weight loss, or him going off his food completely. Ig he is not better in a few day, then you can maybe try to give him a different kind of food to see if he prefers that. Otherwise, if he is still doing this next week, then you can contact your veterinarian to schedule an appointment. Hope this helps and best of luck.
