Hello, this is a hormone that prevents ovulation and thereby pregnancy. It should not cause any bloody discharge from her vulva after being administered. Additionally, it may take several hours to have full effect and the effects may last up to 3 months. This medication does have multiple side effects in dogs, so you may see an increased in thirst and urination. Dogs could develop hair loss at the site of injection. Dogs can also develop enlarged mammary glands but this does not necessarily mean they are pregnant. If you see any of these side effects, or if Stela does not seem well, then have your veterinarian examine her. Hope this helps and best of luck.
