Hello, few days ago when i tried to lift my pug off the ground , i grabbed his front legs and he started crying. He can walk without pain, he doesnt actually run much, and he cant jump. When i touch his front and back legs he doesnt feel any pain. He just starts to cry when i put him to stand on his back legs. What should i do?

I would avoid picking up Tobi in this manner until we figure out what is going on. It sounds like when he is putting all his weight on his hind legs/pelvis. He probably either has some arthritis or nerve/disc pain causing the discomfort. I would recommend taking Tobi to your veterinarian for an evaluation and X-rays so you can determine what is causing the pain. He may also need some pain medication as well. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Best of luck.
