My dog's panting. Is Vaseline on her nose causing pneumonia?

Pet's info: Dog | Doberman Pinscher | Female | spayed | 5 years and 6 months old

Hi . This is for Sadie. I have been using Vaseline on her nose . I just read that using Vaseline for the nose is actually bad . omg . It can cause pneumonia she has been panting a lot . I read that it was good . I’m not sure if she panting from her meds . She is on cabapantine it’s for inflammation pill .. I did mention to my vet that she is panting over the phone.

Careful use of a small amount of vaseline is unlikely to cause pneumonia but I would be careful not to over apply as inhalation could indeed be dangerous for the airways and lungs. Panting can be due to pain, fever, inflammation or heart disease and i would recommend a full vet check
