My old dog's green eye goop won't clear with prescribed meds.

Question

Maverick is a 15 year old laso ops he is blind and diabetic. He has has some goop in his left eye greenish that he rubs at for months and was prescribed a steroid/antibiotic cream for it but it hasnt cleared up. He also has sry eyes and gets artificial tear drops. He use to get allergy shots, could this be allergies not an infection? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 15 years and 6 months old | 16 lbs

Dry eye can result in the discharge in the picture you posted and can require more than just Artificial Tears to treat. (That would be more common than an allergy problem especially since only one eye is affected.)
