Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 9 years and 3 months old | 36 lbs
My adult dog is sick. I was just wanting to know what are her chances of having parvo and can she die from it. We do not take our dogs to dog parks, or walks. They are inside dogs but do go out in the backyard to do their business. My bulldog was in for direrrah but not vomiting. They gave him an antibiotic and probiotic. They said his stool sample came back negative for parasites. But now Phoebe seems to have it. They said the did see gardia ? in my bulldogs sample. She did eat a little

Hello. It is very unlikely that a 9-year-old dog can contract Parvo. But there is any number of conditions & diseases that can cause severe gastrointestinal upsets. I can not tell you if this is a fatal situation or not, all I can say is you need to stay in close communication with your veterinarian, reporting any unusual signs, or indications that your pet is not healing or doing well. Hopefully, with good treatment & medications, everyone will be feeling much better soon. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
