My dog died suddenly after eating a fishbone, vomiting. Why?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

My dog just died 12hrs after I fed him a tilapia fishbone but not too large. He didnt have parvo when she was puppy. He didnt have 5in1 due to her strong resistance that even the vet couldt hold her. her death is so sudden that im thinking its bcause of the fishbone i gave. or is it parvo? lost of appetite and vomiting without something coming out after eating the fishbone are the only signs. Is it my fault that my precious sweet baby died? :'(

I am sorry to hear of your loss, a sudden death is very upsetting. It would be unusual for parvo to take a dog so quickly and you would normally expect profuse, bloodied vomiting and diarrhea. The non productive vomiting is more common with a twisted stomach or bloat, a rare but often fatal condition where the entrance and exit of the stomach becomes blocked
