I have a 6 week old chihuahua i took him to the vet today they shined a light in his eye and said everything was fine did his temperature and everything but what I don’t get when I clap or call or try to get his attention he acts like he doesn’t see me ? They said maybe he has to get use to me but that’s not a accurate answer when they did tell me his eyes are fine once they used the flashlight ??

A very young puppy like Bam Bam often doesn’t respond like an older dog to sights and sounds. It’s too soon to worry about his eye sight or hearing yet. Give him several more weeks to grow and mature. He will probable gradually start responding like you expect, especially if he already had a normal eye exam. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Bam Bam.
