My cat won't eat alone. How to move her food bowl to the kitchen?

Hello, Skye's food has always been in the laundry room, she won't eat unless I'm setting beside her so I want to switch it to the kitchen where I'm most of my time. Is it okay to just put the food there and show her where it is or it will take her a while to figure it out? Thank you! Pet's info: Cat | Siamese | Female | spayed | 5 months and 19 days old | 4.41 lbs
