Zoey is not eating her food properly.... I changed that from pedigree to Royal Canin... But she is continually ingnoring the food... She eats some and then runs away... And the she eats some more from my hand if I feed her... Then runs away again.... She looks weak... This is going from 2 to 3 days... the doc is out of town... Anything that can help counts....

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Zoey. You can try adding warm water to the dry kibble, offer her canned dog food (alone or mixed with the dry food) or offer the original Pedigree diet. Once her veterinarian is back to town, she will need to be seen if her symptoms persist. You need to determine if she is ill or if she is having trouble adjusting to the new diet. I hope this information helps!

It could be that Zoe is getting too much human food, she likes it better, and that's why she isn't eating her dog food. She knows she will get human food. Put her food down in the morning, and leave it for 15-20 minutes. Pick it up after that time even if she hasn't eaten it. Then this is the important thing: Do NOT give her any food at all in-between meals. No human food, no treats, nothing. At dinner time, put her food down, and again leave it for 15-20 minutes. Pick it up after this time, and she doesn't get any food at all until the next morning. She will get hungry enough to eat. To be safe, having a health check with the vet would be a good idea just to make sure everything is ok. I hope this helps!
