Can I safely sedate wild cats at home to take them to the vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Hello, so i have tons of wild cats around my house.. and in my country there's little to no Rescues for them.. there are more than 10 lurking around, iv'e decided that i want to sedate them and make them "Pass out" so i can take them away to a vet to MAYBE give them a proper home/shelter.. my real question is can i make a sedation liquid for injection? And if it turns out i can make a sedation liquid, i want it to NOT kill the cats.. I know this sound crazy but its true, Thanks in Advance.

No, there is no safe way to make or sedate feral cats outside of a veterinary clinic setting. Humane traps are available which can catch cats which go in for food and can be used to transport them for neutering, such as with trap neuter and release programs
