Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 8 months and 26 days old | 2.75 lbs
My cat had matted hair at her bottom I was going today to the vet to get rid of it but I woke and found that she took it out herself so is that the end of it or is there other problems along matted hair... She was sick so she couldn't groom herself regularly and the matted hair formed but she's okay now and took the matted hair.. First time dealing with matted hair

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. As long as there is not redness or irritated skin where the mat was, then it may not need any more attention. However even if she is grooming herself, brushing her daily or several times weekly can help to prevent matting in the future.
