Why is my kitten shaking head and avoiding food after chewing blinds?

Question

my kitten has started shaking her head and acting like there is something caught in teeth intermittently. i offered her a treat and when she licked it she jumped like it bit her and is now avoiding the treat completly. i did find a piece of my blinds she had torn off and i am wondering if she may have cut her tongue chewing on the blind piece. she is 11 months old at the end of this month. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 10 months and 10 days old | 8.4 lbs

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Sasha! I recommend having her seen today by your Vet. She could have something stuck in her mouth or under her tongue especially since you know she chewed on the blind or she could have gotten a hold of something else. If the Vet just finds a wound then they can provide pain medications and antibiotics. I wish you the best!
