How to help my cat scared of new kitchen fan and won't enter?

My house didn’t come with ceiling fans. And with this hot summer weather I invested in one for my kitchen. I installed it and was turning it on and off to see how it works and both my cats were fine with it they were their normal selves. I had it off for a few hours and when I turned it on, my girl was underneath the fan and she got afraid and ran away. Now she won’t go in the kitchen. Which is where her food is and she has to pass through to get to her litter. What to do to help her?? Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 1 year and 1 month old | 3 lbs

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Navi. She should adjust to the new fan given enough time. In the meantime, I would add a second litter box and another feeding station in an area where she will not have to go through the kitchen to access it. You don't have to keep this set up forever of it is inconvenient given the layout of your house, but it will help her in the short term. I hope this information helps!
