How to switch your cat to a new litter box in the same location?

I got a new litter box old one is falling apart how to I make the change we are keeping the same location what do I do. Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | 6 years and 2 months old | 16.3 lbs

Just use the same litter. Take Fatboy and gently place him in the box and take one of the front paws and and scratcch the litter a bit. That should be enough, Cats are pretty clever and he is probably happy about the new box.
