Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Persian | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 2 months old | 3 lbs

Hi, i just noticed that my male persian cat has some cut on his testicles. i am unable to upload photos since the website is unresponsive, hence giving issue description to facilitate and help as much as possible. He keeps licking his testicles but not too often. Looks like little skin around testicles is covered with blood because of scratching( my assumption). can you please help ?

When a cat licks or chews his testicles it is usually because they either itch or hurt So there is a possibility that he has a testicular inflammation (orchitis), or an infection. You should keep him from licking his testicles (best by putting an e-collar around his neck so he cannot reach his testicles) nd make an appointment with your veterinarian for an exam. This may be quite painful and he will likely need pain medicine and antibiotics to clear this up.
