My dog is shaking after flea shampoo. Is he having a reaction?

Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Male | unneutered | 4 lbs

Gave dog a,bath with hertz flea shampoo and noticed he was sitting there and started with the shakes like tremors.... What's wrong with him and is rebathing him ok to do

Hi there. Beau may indeed be having a reaction to the shampoo. I would definitely use another dog shampoo and wash that Hartz product off. If you have access to an open animal hospital at this time I would definitely bring him in to be seen. He is very tiny, and it may be that the flea shampoo ingredients were a bit much for him. The tremoring could also be because is chilly, but I just wouldn't take the chance. I definitely don't want to alarm you, but I would just take him in to see a vet.

    No. Typically if there is a reaction to a flea product decontaminating then is the thing to do. Often times if it is mild they can be treated out patient and return to. It also with time. Sometimes it requires IV fluids and injectable medication to control the tremors.
