My dog had an allergic reaction to rabies shot. Can he get another?

last year my springer spaniel got his rabies shot at a pet store foro 20 bucks. a half hour later we were in our vet because he went into a swollen lips, mouth, muzzle whole head reaction. Now its a year later and i am tempted to not do it again. but we are going camping and i am concerned about wildlife. Pet's info: Dog | English Springer Spaniel | Male | neutered | 5 years and 6 months old | 68 lbs
