My dog has diarrhea and threw up. What if I don't have chicken?

Pet's info: Dog | Kelpie | Male | 1 year and 1 month old | 40 lbs

Dogs got diarrhea and thrown up his feed from last night, he's been normal, nothing serious or out of the ordinary apart this, I've read about chicken an rice.. if it's a chicken and rice case, but i don't have access to chicken.. what would i do from there?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Copper. The goal of feeding chicken and rice is that it is a bland diet. This can help to settle a dog's stomach. It is not absolutely necessary though. I typically have the owner withhold food for 24hours if the dog is otherwise healthy. This will accomplish the same goal of resting the GI tract. If this does not resolve his symptoms, then he will need to see his veterinarian. I hope this information helps!
