Hello there, Could you please tell me how shall I take care for the myasthenia gravis. Can running or exercise make him worse? Why some days he looks better and some days he looks worse? Why with dried food he vomits more? Can I feed him can food for ever?

I'm so sorry to hear that Vito was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis. I am attaching a handout below with a lot of good information for you. https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4951980 Exercise will make his signs worse (at least temporarily), so at least for now, you should try to limit his exercise. Often dogs will look worse on days after they have had a lot of exercise, but then better after they have rested. The esophagus in dogs is made of muscle, so any muscle weakness can affect their ability to swallow. Dry food requires more work to swallow, while moistened food is easier. Canned food is a balanced diet and can be fed long term. You could also consider a dehydrated food like Honest Kitchen ( https://www.thehonestkitchen.com/ ). Good luck! I hope that was helpful and answered your questions. I hope Vito will respond to the medication for myasthenia and his signs will improve. Thanks for using PetCoach.
