How to switch my picky cat's wet food without causing diarrhea?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Siamese | Female | spayed | 5 months and 13 days old | 4.41 lbs

Help please Frustrated & don't know what to do My kitty changes her mind very often on wet food, I hear people keep their fur babies in different brands of wet food. How can I do that with out her getting sick (diarrhea) or get her to stick to it for more than a few weeks? She likes her dry food (free feeds) wet food twice a day I even tried schedule feeding but it's the same result

Here is a link on how to switch foods in a way that reduces the risk of diarrhea, by switching food slowly https://www.hillspet.com/cat-care/nutrition-feeding/switching-cat-food . Here is link on encouraging cats to eat wet food https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4952909 It's okay to switch to a different type of wet food once in a while, just do it slowly so it doesn't upset Skye's stomach.
