I dewormed my litter of puppies after one of them passed just very near recently she had worms. Well one of them is starting to show the same problems as the one who passed. After deworming she's vomiting diarrhea weight loss and loss of appetite. Could it be the medicine? The other puppies are doing great. The worming medicine I used is pro sense dewormer solution roundworms. Both showed/shows same symptoms.

Hi,t hanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Dewowmers have the potential to cause an upset stomach such as vomit, diarrhea and decreased appetite. Though I am worried something else is going on since you lost a puppy recently. I worry most about parvo virus in puppies this age, especially if they are yet to be vaccinated. I would have this puppy seen today by your Vet and tested for parvo virus as it is VERY contagious and if it is the cause it will likely affect the entire litter. If it isn't parvo the Vet can at least get this puppy feeling better and prevent dehydration. Good luck!

Hi again! It is good to hear Pixel became active again and starting eating after a couple hours. I would say if he doesn't continue to vomit or have diarrhea for the next 24 hours and his energy is good and all else is normal, then this is a good sign and may just be related to the deworming medication. If he continues to vomit and/or have diarrhea then there may be something else more serious going on and he should see his veterinarian soon. I hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for using a Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Angel! Angel is young and small in size and with severe vomiting and diarrhea there is a big concern for dehydration and low blood sugar regardless of the cause. I recommend that Angel see your Vet today. I hope she has started her puppy vaccines, parvo is a serious disease that causes vomiting and diarrhea. The dewormer can cause vomiting and diarrhea but it should be self limiting. Other causes of vomiting and diarrhea are: worms which we know she has, viral infections like parvo and others, bacterial infections, food allergies/intolerance, dietary indiscretion. It ya best to take Angel to the Vet. I hope this helps and I wish her a speedy recovery!

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Romeman! If he hasn't eaten in 2 days and is vomiting he needs to see a Vet today. He is too young to be sick for long. Possible causes are the worms or the dewormer, but other causes are: bacterial or viral (especially parvo if not vaccinated), dietary indiscretion, blockage from a foreign body, reaction to a new food/treat/table food or an allergy to his current food. Dehydration and hypogylcemia (low blood sugar) is a huge risk with not eating in vomiting in a dog so young. I wish you all the best!
