my cat has been scratching behind his ear and there are scabs behind them and when i asked about that last they said it was a possible allergy. now his one eye is squinty and cloudy. is this related to his ear problem or are these two different things?

I would suspect that you are dealing with two different problems. A squinty eye is always concerning. I would recommend having your veterinarian examine Hobbes' eye. Your veterinarian can perform a special test called a fluorescein stain to see if Hobbes has developed an ulcer in the eye. I am attaching more information about that below. https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4951434 Good luck! I hope that was helpful and that Hobbes feels better soon. Thanks for using PetCoach.
