My dog has epilepsy. Can hot weather worsen his seizures in summer?

My dog is epileptic and on phenobarbitol. Could this hot weather make his seizures worse

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Weather shouldn’t influence seizure activity. Though sress, anxiety or changes in barometric pressure has been implicated. Some dogs are extremely sensitive to the heat so I’d as a precaution, I’d limit his time out of the air conditioning. Have a great day!
