Gracie has a lump under her throat that came up overnight she was outside in her dog house could an abscess from mosquitos? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 6 months and 19 days old | 53 lbs

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I doubt the lump is from a mosquito bite. Can you post a picture so we can see exactly where and how big? There are a lot of important structures on the neck that can get enlarged like lymph nodes and salivary glands. An abscess is possible and usually seem to appear overnight but the initial incident usually happens a day or 2 before. I wish Gracie the best!
