Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Male | neutered
Hi, Neo had 3 teeth removed from his maxilla, in the same procedure the vet found a small closed fracture in the middle of the mandible. The vet put in a wire while still under anesthetic after dental work. He's an indoor cat & if his outside I'm with him in the garden, no severe dental disease, so it came as quite a shock. It's time to remove the wire. There can be chance of refracture while removing the wire. What other complications &/or symptoms after wire removal should I look out for?

Normally cats respond very well to this treatment and the fracture should have healed without any need for further treatment or concerns. It will probably help him to eat better and be more comfortable. Removing the wire is very straightforward and I am sure Neo will be soon back to his old healthy self.
