How to stop my adopted 2-year-old cat from biting my arms and ankles?

I adopted a cat who is about 2 years old. He is sweet but often bites my arm and tries to bite my ankle. I have had him 6 weeks and when he isn't biting he is very fun and loving. I say no and stop playing or I put him in his room which has lots of windows litter box and food. He calms down when I leave him in there but sometimes will start biting again. Pet's info: Cat | Siamese | Male | neutered | 2 years and 3 months old | 12 lbs
