Why is my dog's bleeding lump near his whiskers not healing?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered

Dog has ulcerative lump/hole located in whiskers. He came in from a couple of minutes outside withbthis hole bleeding. It scanned over but 2days later he came in again with it bleeding. 2-3 yr old male black/white blue heeler/Shepard mix.

It looks like a mole that got knicked by something. I would recommend talking with your veterinarian about removing this if it continues to happen. Otherwise, I would just let it heal and leave it be. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

    Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This could be a benign or malignant growth. This could even be just an infection. There is no way of knowing for sure without an examination though this represents a reason to seek veterinary care. This is usually determined with an examination and a fine needle aspirate (FNA) or a biopsy. Treatment depends on the findings up to that point. I recommend you have Coon evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a good night!
