Guinea pig kit had expired food. Is the cage and chews contaminated?

So I bought a guinea pig starter kit that came with a cage, chews, food bowl,and food. (I have two other cages I was going to connect this cage to them) it arrived today and I just opened the box and saw the chews it wasnt in packaging and they were next to the food. I gave Cosmo the chew and opened the rest. The food said "best if used by 10/29/16" I start to panic. It was inside the cage next to everything. I know the food is bad but is everything else contaminated? Should I wash everything? Pet's info: Small Animal | Unknown - Small Animal | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 26 days old
