My 50-day-old Rottweiler puppy is vomiting and not eating. What to do?

My Rottweiler 50days old is not eating anything from 8 hours aftervomiting for 4times he looks so tierd what should I do ?

It sounds as Harry is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

    Thank you for submitting your question regarding Harry. First, your veterinarian needs to determine why he is vomiting so frequently. Does he have an infection such as the parvovirus, intestinal parasites or did he eat something he shouldn't have such as a piece of a toy. Fecal testing and x-rays may be necessary. With this information treatment can be prescribed. He may need antibiotics, deworming medication, continued fluid therapy and a medication such as Cerenia to stop his vomiting. Hi there and thank you for using Pet Coach to address your concern. If he is not eating his dog food I would offer some chicken and rice and see if he is at all interested in eating that. If not, I would recommend having him examined by a veterinarian. With his age, he is at risk for contracting viral infections such as distemper and parvo virus. I would have him tested for Parvo virus if he continues to decline and also test his blood to see if there are any abnormalities. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Hi there! Sorry to hear that Rote is not feeling well. The clinical signs you describe are concerning when they occur in a puppy as they can be seen with serious gastrointestinal infections such as Parvovirus. Other possibilities include intestinal worms and dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. The sooner these conditions are treated the better the outcome tends to be. For this reason, I recommend that you have Rote evaluated by your veterinarian to check for these possibilities and to start therapy based on findings. At the very least they can address dehydration if present and start him on anti-nausea medications. Good luck! Keeping my fingers crossed for your boy!

Poor Diesel. He sounds pretty sick, and I'm quite concerned that he's lost a lot of weight. At this point in time, I think he needs veterinary attention now. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.

I have a Rottweiler puppy she is about 4 Months I believe after she drinks she vomits & she’s been laying around not being playful like normal
Thank you for submitting your question regarding Bear. She should see a veterinarian if her symptoms continue. She could have ate something that has upset her stomach, she could have intestinal parasites or a more serious viral infection (vaccines are designed to prevent these). Her veterinarian will likely start with fecal testing and decide on a treatment plan from there. It is easy for puppies to become dehydrated. Continue to offer her small amounts of food and water every few hours. I hope this information helps!

My dog is 30days old.. From morning she didn't eat anything.. She vomited one time.. Loose motion also..

My Rottweiler is just laying around. Hard to get him outside to go potty. Has not had a bowl movement since yesterday morning. Not eating like he normally does.
Thank you for submitting your question regarding Rox. I recommend that he sees a veterinarian. He should be seen today if ar all possible. His symptoms are vague, but worrisome in a dog of his age. The veterinarian will examine him and determine if he is perhaps experiencing orthopedic pain or an internal issues. Testing such as blood work or x-rays may be warranted. Based on these results, treatment can be started to help him feel better. In the meantime, help him when he needs to move. You can use a towel under his hips as a sling to him get up and to walk. Do not give any over-the-counter pain medications as these can be toxic to dogs. I hope this information helps!

You must take her back to the vet urgently, they will need to perform a blood test and ultrasound in order to find out the cause of the anorexia, without knowing what is causing this , it's not possible to treat it.

The problems with vomiting are fluid/electrolyte losses, lethargy, weakness, shock, and even death. Vomiting has many causes including intestinal worms, inflammation, infection, dietary problems (including dietary indiscretion or eating things pets are not supposed to eat, food sensitivities/allergies), ingestion of foreign bodies or exposure to toxins, bacterial overgrowth in the gut, problems in the stomach, intestines, or even problems outside of the intestinal tract/stomach including pancreatitis, kidney/liver problems, metabolic disease (diabetes,etc), endocrine diseases (thyroid or other hormone problems), etc. Usually, in puppies, we worry about intestinal parasites, infection, foreign body ingestion or dietary indiscretion. My 8 week old Rottweiler has diarrhea for more than 48 hours, what can I do? I’m worried.
Hello and welcome to Boop by Petco. Diarrhea for 48 hours in a 8 week old puppy is a concern, as puppies get dehydrated much more quickly than adult dogs, and don't have the same back-up mechanisms to protect blood pressure that adult dogs do. I recommend you take Mato to a vet. They will check for parvo-virus, parasites, and other conditions. They will also likely discuss IV fluids, or SQ fluids, and might get you a medication based on the diarrhea, such as a dewormer or a gut protectant. Best of luck with Mato!
