My new kitten has an eye cold. What can I do before a vet visit?

I just got a new kitten. She was born May 20th, very active, eating well, and using the litter box, however. I clean her eyes often bc she has cold in them. I can't afford a vet until next week. Anything I should know? Please help! Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 6 days old
