Kitten struggling to walk, back rounded. Is it a paw or back injury?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Hello! My kitten is 2 month old. A week ago she fall down the sofa and hurt her paw (I suppose). She couldn't stand on it, but the other day she felt better. 2 days after that she was playing near the door and was hit by it. And now it is hard for her to walk, her back is rounded when she walks and she does it only for a short period of time.. I'm very upset about this.. And I don't know what the reason (her earlier hurt paw or something wrong with her back) Thanks in advance

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I strongly recommend taking the kitten to the vet. She may have an injury to that leg, or to her back. She may require x-rays if a fracture is suspected. in the meantime keep her confined to a small area such as a dog crate - room enough for sleeping, food, water and litter box but no running or playing. Do not give her any pain medications as many are toxic to cats.
