Why can't I bathe my dog for days after a vet visit or deworming?

Hi I brought my shih tzu to the vet 2 days ago for his deworming, the vet gave a pill and an injection of vitamin B complex,..he said that we cannot give my dog a bath for 5 days,...why the we cannot give him a bath for 5 days?Thanks! Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male

Hello, Toby may not be allowed to get a bath due to him being too young and the potential that he could be come too cold after his bath. Other potential reasons could include that he may be a little sick from his injection and thus giving him a bath may again make him too cold and make him feel worse. If you do give him a bath, make sure its with luke warm water and that you dry him off completely after his bath. Hope this helps and best of luck.
