My dog drank herbal disinfectant. Is it poisonous? What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | 1 year and 8 months old | 51 lbs

He chewed up a carton of herbal disinfectant. The ingredients are Neem Extract , camphor, Vegetable Oil,and Terpenoids. I think he drank any because the bottle was empty ( or maybe licked a little bit). When would signs show up and should I be worried?

As there are a lot of etheric oils involved and many of them are indeed poisonous to dogs and cats I suggest you contact the pet poison center immediately: 24/7 Animal Poison Control Center 855-764-7661 $59 USD per incident fee applies (You could use whatsapp for a free phone call to the US) or immediately contact your veterinarian please. I realise it is the middle of the night in India, so try to find a 24 hour vet hospital such as a vet school hospital near you.
