My indoor dog has a flea. Could he have gotten it from the groomer?

Hi, we seldom bring our dog outside the house, just now I found a flea in his back, there are no other dogs in the house,...the last time we bring him outside is when we go to his groomer...is it possible that he got the flea in the groomers place?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It could have been at the groomer or even inside the home fleas can come inside which is why flea and tick preventatives are still recommended in indoor dogs. You could consider a flea and tick preventative such as Bravecto or Frontline plus. Good luck and have a great day!
