My dog is wobbly, vomiting, and smells alcoholic. Is it auto-brewery?

Can dogs get auto-brewery? Our dog gets crazy after he eats and sometimes he gets all wobbly and pukes. When this happens he runs around like crazy for an hour then passes out. Today I thought I smelled alcohol on his breath as he was freaking out. We don't give him alcohol but I think he's got brewer's yeast in his gut from licking beer bottles. He loves the taste of beer and licks the tops of our beer bottles. I think he could be metabolizing ethanol from the carbs in his food.

Autobrewery syndrome is extremely rare, and I would be concerned there is something else going on, as some metabolic diseases can cause an acetone or alcohol-like smell on the breath and are usually serious and require treatment. Taking Pablo to the vet and having thorough bloodwork done is best, especially if he has this and other symptoms you are listing. In the future, I would not allow him to lick beer bottles, as it is not really very healthy.
