My cat ate a moth Saturday night and has been throwing up since. He hasn't eaten for a day and a half, and now his vomit smells like wet dog. What can I do?

It's concerning that Ichigo has been throwing up since Saturday night. Most moths don't pose a risk to cats, but there are certain species such as the Garden Tiger Moth that may be poisonous if ingested. It could be there is another cause of his vomiting, such as a GI illness, eating something rotten, a foreign body, or pancreatitis. It's concerning that he hasn't eaten in a day and a half, as when a cat doesn't eat going on 72 hours, they develop a fatty liver which is fatal without treatment. That's very serious, and because of this, I strongly recommend that he sees a vet now. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. Best of luck, I hope this helps!
