My 9-month-old female dog hasn't had her first heat. Is she okay?

I have two questions. Why Belle has an open bite mouth? 2nd, she is more than 9 months old. She supposed to have her 1st heat. Why she does not have any? Is she capable for being pregnant? She is fine, jolly sweet & loving. I’m afraid there could be a problem with her reproductive system which I hope not. Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Female | unspayed | 9 months and 17 days old | 30 lbs

I'm wondering if you mean that Belle has an underbite. This can be common in breeds such as the Shih Tzu. As for not being in heat yet, she can go into heat anytime, so I would not worry about her being nine months and not having a heat yet. It can take up to a year of age before she goes into heat. I wouldn't be worried that there is a problem with her reproductive system. Best of luck, I hope this helps!
