Are freezing temps too cold for my Staffy cross puppies at night?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Hi I live in Australia and I have 2 puppies. Both are staffy x only one is big and one is small. We are having cold nights at 0 to minus degrees at night. Is that to cold for my dogs or do they need to be in a warmer environment?

Good question. That temperature is much too cold for a dog to be in for long periods of time. I would recommend keeping them indoors. Dogs can typically tolerate temperatures almost equivalent to us, but just 5 degrees greater or lower in most situations. Even still, there is individual variance. Best of luck with your pet Bosco moving forward and keeping him and his littermate safe. Take care!
