Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Norwegian Forest Cat | Female | spayed | 11 years and 11 months old | 8.5 lbs

My cat has hyperthyroidism and been on madication for a year bloods tested every 3 months Last tested late April but last few days acting strangely a bit like she did when we realised she had something wrong (hyperthyroidism) with her She runs away from us hides in corners and not keen on eating even treats like chicken breast She is a very loving cat who would run upstairs to lie on bed with us most mornings and stay in room with us all day Could she need more medication?

Since it has been several months since her last bloodwork was done I would recommend bringing her in if this change in behavior is lasting longer than a few days and there haven't been any other changes in the household that would be causing her anxiety (such as new pets, people, etc.).
