Yes, it's certainly possible that Shadow can become pregnant from this mating. Only time will tell. I would wait at least 42 days after this mating before taking her into the vet for x-rays to determine if she is pregnant or not, and how many puppies she is carrying. Best of luck.

There is a fairly good chance a mating with a tie may result in a pregnancy. You'll need to wait about 4 weeks after the mating to confirm via blood work, palpation or abdominal ultrasound. It will need to be confirmed by your veterinarian. There is a canine version of the "morning after" pill but you'll need to contact your veterinarian as soon as possible for it to be administered for maximum effect.

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Yes, if Princess tied 3 times she is very likely pregnant. Based on your pictures her belly and mammary glands are enlarged. Milk can show up as early as 1 week before labor to right before. Dogs are pregnant 60-63 days so if 12/25 was when you saw them tied then I would expect her to be due 2/22. You can schedule an appointment with your Vet soon to have an X-rays taken to confirm pregnancy and the number of puppies. I would get the whelping box together and start puppy food. Could my 8 month dog become she got stuck 3 times with my male dog

Wait 45 days after last getting stuck, then take her into the vet to confirm if she is pregnant with x-rays. The x-rays will also tell you how many puppies she is carrying. I hope this helps!

The only way to know for sure Zyra is pregnant is have her seen by a vet in another couple of weeks for x-rays and a blood test looking for the hormone relaxin to confirm that she is pregnant. It is possible that she may not get pregnant off five stud sessions if she wasn't mated at the right time in her heat, but hopefully she is pregnant. It's lovely you want to be a vet! The best advice I can give you is to study really hard and get lots of animal experience in a vet's office. It's not an easy road to become a vet, it's a lot of time and hard work, but if you apply yourself and work for it, it can happen :-)

Hello, sorry to hear about Marley. Yes indeed she can. Male dogs may ejaculate soon after penetration leading to pregnancy. However, for full delivery of their ejaculate, dogs require bonding that may last longer. And thus, although the chances that Marley may be pregnant are existing, they are not as high as if the dogs had bonded. Hope this helps and best of luck. Hello, It is not possible to tell if a dog has had sex. The vulva, or external female genitalia, experiences normal swelling during the heat cycle. X-rays can be taken 45 days after mating to confirm presence of fetal skeletons. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

I think my dog is pregnant
She certainly looks like she may be. If its has been at least 45 days since the day she likely hooked up with a male dog, then you can certainly confirm this with an x-ray from your vet. I just got a new dog. When the lady gave her to me I realized she was in heat. She is six months old. Could she be pregnant? I have kept her secluded but could she have gotten pregnant before I got her?
This is a possibility, there is no way to know at the moment, if you start seeing some pregnancy sign in about a month from now (enlarged nipples, weight gain, increase appetite),- take her to the vet in order to do an ultrasound, this will confirm or rule out pregnancy.

Is it possible for if two dogs get tied and they pull on each other to try to get away from each other after intercourse that the females vagina could rip?
This could be possible that the female is injured during mating if the dogs pull hard enough to get away. If you are concerned that Alaska has been injured, I would take her into the vet first thing in the morning. Best of luck.

Hello, I do see that her nipples and mammary glands are more developed in some of her pictures. Pregnancy in canines can range between 55-65 days and development of mammary glands is most noticeable towards the end of pregnancy. Based on what I’m seeing there is a chance she could be pregnant, however you’d be able to confirm this with an X-ray or an ultrasound. I would recommend having her evaluated by your veterinarian when possible to confirm she is pregnant and ensure she is in good health to undergo a pregnancy. Hope this helps and best of luck.
